Draslovka’s patented Glycine Leaching Technology (GLT) is a mineral processing innovation that provides sustainable leaching for various minerals. GLT is a selective leaching technology that assists mines in extending the lifecycle of mining assets, unlocking untapped value from minerals remaining in tailings through next-generation leaching and mineral processing optimization solutions. This technology promotes sustainable mineral processing and recovery, reduces cyanide consumption, and improves leaching operational expenses (OpEx). Additionally, GLT reduces weak acid dissociable (WAD) cyanide, improves heap leach and CIP/CIL recovery, and provides improved process control when paired with MetOptima and Blue Cube technologies. It is an alternative to sulfuric acid leaching and assists with critical minerals recovery, making it an ESG-compliant mining technology.
Glycine Leaching Technology leverages Draslovka’s 200+ years of processing expertise in leaching optimization to reduce environmental impact and improve recovery through technical know-how. Glycine, a cost-effective and non-toxic amino acid leaching reagent, is fully biodegradable and is used as a feed supplement in animals and therapeutically to reduce inflammation in humans. It is manufactured in large quantities in the USA, Germany, Japan, China, and India, and is generally cheaper than cyanide. Glycine can leach most nonferrous transition base metals, specifically copper, nickel, cobalt, and zinc, and precious metals under certain conditions, including gold, silver, and some platinum group metals. Glycine leaching is low cost because the main reagent, Glycine, is chemically regenerated.
